Oh goodness this *actually* made things way easier to understand for me! Since I draw on a 10" tablet (as in the traditional type, not the art type) I've unconsciously improved on my traces; but the line weight is the thing that I alwahs struggled with, so this really helps! Especially the outline trick, I usually just trace the silhouette with a bigger brush, but its so much work lol

Your video almost made me cry. Especially your description of your art through elementary school. Your sketchbook reminded me of mine, from the art style down to the fake Japanese characters. Similarly, I started with PPG, Pokemon, then Tokyo Mew Mew, and then Naruto, among many others. The only difference is that I threw all my drawings, art books, and manga away at the age of 13. I thought it would help me be cool or popular for some reason. Now, as a 25-year-old, I'm trying to get back into art, and I wish I had some old drawings I could recreate, but I don't. If given the chance, I would go back in time and stop my 13-year-old self from throwing all of her art away. To anyone reading this, cherish your old drawings, even your "cringe" emo Sasuke x Sakura fan art. That art was a part of you at one point, and it's going to be so special to you when you're older. <3

Hello what brush did you use for the outlines please?

I appreciate you using the default brushes, made following along a lot easier

This is actually really good! Actually more helpful than in my digital art/animation class. There, I had to use specific brush sizes too big for my liking like 5-7 (I hate being micromanaged >_<), but here I can use any brush size. I honestly prefered smaller brush sizes. No bigger than 3-4. Brush sizes doesn't mean thin or thick imo.

How do you color on without getting the airbrush on her skin?

How to have a proper artist breakdown - step 1 - draw something step 2 - dont seperate the color because you use ibis paint too much step 3 - cry

BTW, it's a trap stuff, because as soon as I learned dynamic lineart I started to spend too much time on it. Right now lineart is the main element of my artworks and I can't change it anymore.

i loved it but when you said in the middle of drawing 'btw i do seperate layers with each color switch' i was crying inside because i drew all in one layer. now i have to do it all again aaaaaa
